The article examines the creativity of the outstanding English decorator. His artworks have become the visual symbol of the 1960s-1970s. The designer’s creative career is briefly described. The study has revealed the characteristic features of his creative work. Significant attention is given to the influence of different cultures on the development of rapport compositions. The relevance of David Hicks’ artistic heritage to contemporaneity and the universal character of his creations are emphasized.
