Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №4 (84) December, 2023
The study explores the architecture of intergenerational centers with the aim of identifying their specific features based on a review of theoretical and practical experiences in their construction. Currently, Russia lacks architectural and spatial environments that promote social communication between generations. The research work begins with a review of international and domestic experiences in the construction of intergenerational centers and consideration of the modern typology of intergenerational centers and issues in their design and development. Spatial planning models have been developed, and the disadvantages and advantages of existing intergenerational centers have been identified. The findings of this study may be of use for further theoretical research into the development of intergenerational centers.
