Railway stations in the Middle East and North Africa face numerous architectural and operational challenges that require comprehensive modernization. This article explores various approaches to modernizing railway stations in these regions, with a focus on solutions aimed at addressing operational issues.
The study concludes by proposing the application of new structural systems for bridge-like buildings and architectural solutions that consider the specific conditions of modernizing the Homs station while ensuring the efficient use of the railway infrastructure's right-of-way.
