Retrospective reproduction of architectural and planning ideas of the 1930s – 1950s (on the example of the urban-planning node of the district of Pridacha in the city of Voronezh)

The relevance of the study is determined by the insufficient knowledge of the design architectural and urban planning concepts of the 1930s - 1950s which were developed for the city of Voronezh but not implemented. As an example of an unfulfilled urban planning idea, we consider the draft proposal for the organization of a large-scale city square on the left bank, in the village of Pridacha. The article includes a historical and urban planning analysis of the origin and development of the Pridacha settlement, unrealized plans and architectural and urban planning ideas of the pre-war and post-war revival periods of the city. It is concluded that the city lost opportunities for further formation of the historically established transport and urban planning structure of the left bank with its central area and architectural works created by outstanding Voronezh architects.
