Parametric design methodology for package accommodation siting based on tourist attractiveness index

The study focuses on developing a Tourist Attractiveness Index (TAI) for selecting optimal sites for collective accommodation facilities (CAFs). The growth of domestic tourism necessitates objective tools for site selection, which determines this study’s scientific and practical relevance. A parametric approach is used, formalizing key factors (transport accessibility, ecology, infrastructure, proximity to tourist attractions, cultural adaptation) into an analytical model with mathematical formulas. The TAI was developed and tested in Krasnodar Krai and Rostov Oblast. The methodology identified optimal areas, analyzed their strengths and weaknesses, and formulated recommendations for future facility development programs. Results are applicable in architectural design, urban planning, and tourism development to support investment decisions and improve territory development quality.
