DIRECTIONS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION MODELING TECHNOLOGIES FOR URBAN PLANNING ACTIVITIES (ON THE EXAMPLE OF RESIDENTIAL PLANNING MANAGEMENT ON THE SOUTHERN COAST OF CRIMEA)

The article argues for the need to use technologies of information modeling (TIM) in residential planning management on the Southern Coast of Crimea (SCC). Applications of TIM in urban planning are reviewed. Types of information modeling software are systematized depending on use. Two main classes of information modeling programs are identified based on mode of operation: «static modeling» programs and «dynamic modeling» programs. Directions in TIM-based management activities on the Southern Coast of Crimea are indicated. Preconditions for developing a «generalized model» of residential units on the Southern Coast of Crimea are identified. The basic theoretical premises that should underlie the development of a virtual homomorphic information model of the urban planning system are determined. The principal directions in which these technologies may evolve in urban planning as a means of solving existing management problems are outlined.
