DESIGN CONCEPT OF A LIFE-SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR ARCTIC TOURISM

This study reveals the heuristic and prognostic potential of design in the field of creating life-support systems and contributes to the further development of practical recommendations on the system design of the material settings (transport-clothing-dwelling) for northern / arctic tourism. A case study of a tourist complex on the Novaya Zemlya archipelago, carried out at the School of Northern Design (USUAA, Yekaterinburg) is considered as an illustration of the hypothesis proposed by the author.
