SIBERIAN LANDSCAPE PAINTERS IN THE 1960s-1970s ART EXHIBITIONS

The art life of Siberia in the 1960s-70s saw growing exhibition activity. From the early 1960s, zonal and republican exhibitions were held regularly. These exhibitions were a triumph of the Siberian landscape painters, convincingly proving that the concept of «peripheral art» was outdated. The republican exhibition «We are building the BAM» became a major creative landmark of the 1970s for the Siberian painters.
