The article discusses the lack of a uniform effective architectural theory that would lend itself to consideration based upon fundamental theoretical research, sets out the consequences of having no architectural theory, and identifies issues in architectural education. The author proposes a framework for development of an effective architectural theory and provides recommendations concerning the approach to basic architectural education.
