The influence of the Russian icon on Ivan Leonidov’s works is discussed. Three groups of similarities were identified from comparison of the final project for the Institute of Librarianship with orthodox church. The author concludes that Ivan Leonidov’s architecture reflects the national features of Russian church architecture and Russian iconography.
