A COMPREHENSIVE METHOD OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN BASED ON CONTEMPORARY AUTOMATED SOFTWARE PRODUCTS

This article deals with the issue of contemporary architectural design associated with the lack of a comprehensive approach which integrates the artistic and engineering aspects of design activity. It is suggested that the design process should be systematized to include a stage of engineering verification of architectural design solutions using contemporary automated engineering design software products. These programs will help to systematize the existing method of architectural design and can help to improve the dialogue between the artistic and technical components of design. We have developed a comprehensive method of architectural design including new steps of artistic search and engineering verification. This method has been tested in a real design project of an entertainment center involving detailed development of a structural support element in the structural system at the schematic design stage.
