ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF TERMINOLOGY RELATING TO CREATIVE ACTION IN THE MIDDLE AGES

This article describes the history of terminology relating to creativity in the Middle Ages. During the Middle Ages Latin terms came into usage, providing a basis for special European terminology in this field. The resulting set of, terminology had a broadest implication for culture as a whole. Gothic art was fully embodied in architecture, which was the result of collective creativity, very durable in terms of both style and specific construction. The Gothic cathedral became a plastic model of theological understanding of the universe. All means of artistic expression were involved in solving the problem. In this investigation it is shown how terminology relating to creativity emerged.
