The article unravels the intrinsic unity between the natural and the artificial, the architectural and the technogenic spaces in the context of a Ural mono-factory town, i.e. a technotope. The authors emphasize the role "technology" in the evolution of the ethnic characteristics of the industrial urban and socio-cultural structure of the Ural mono-factory town.
