This article describes the specific features of modern-day hotels and the principle of their classification and gradation by functional purpose. The author exemplifies his arguments by major hotel corporations, such as Global Hyatt Corporation, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Hilton Worldwide, etc., as well as discussing their brands and architectural analysis of some of their hotels.
