The major feature of the Japanese world outlook is integrity. Accordingly, this feature penetrates into the various spheres of Japanese culture, including design. Integrity as a characteristic feature of Japanese design is broken down into a number of more specific characteristics which are described in the article. Also, the article reviews the basic categories of Japanese aesthetics. which allows one to understand more deeply the view of a thing specific to Japan
