APPLICATION OF SISAL FIBER IN MANUAL WEAVING (INTERNATINOAL AND DOMESTIC EXPERIENCES)

The article identifies a circle of artists who use sisal fibers in their works and reviews the artistic qualities of these works, produced by artists in Russia and Eastern Europe. The author comes to the conclusion that in the early 21st century sisal fibers are rarely used in hand weaving and tapestry and no new methods of using this material have been developed.
