Ancient center of Xi'an (PRC): preservation and historical value of buildings of ancient architectural complexes

This article is devoted to the study and protection of the historically significant architectural complexes of Xi'an, which include the buildings of the Wolong Temple, the Confucius Temple Complex, the Little Study Alley Mosque, and the Memorial Complex of the Xi'an Branch of the Eighth Road Army. The article discusses the timing when each of the buildings was erected, as well as the process of their preservation today. The historical value of each site is described, and their current condition and possible threats to preservation are considered. Various methods of protecting and preserving the architectural complexes, such as conservation, restoration and reconstruction, are presented and their applicability in the context of the region is discussed. It is concluded that there is a need to preserve and protect these historically significant architectural complexes for future generations.
