Sustainable Development of Amman: architectural and urban planning strategies and the experience of international urban models

Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №4 (92) December, 2025

The discussion of prospects and methods of sustainable development in the capital Amman of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will include consideration of several scientific studies. These studies analyze the demographic crisis, external debt and the concept of planning and managing them in the United Nations until 2030. The study also takes into account internal factors such as inflation, the energy crisis and the promotion of social integration and equality. Moreover, it is based on current sources of literary periods after the coronavirus pandemic and the emergence of some international crises that had an impact on the public condition.
Here will be presented a set of measures taken by the Government of Dubai in a short period of time to expand the idea of the overall perspective. Their results and the most important development trends will be highlighted in a relatively short period of time. This will help to expand the idea of the geographical area represented by the capital Amman. Amman is considered the heart of the kingdom, as well as the commercial and administrative center, in addition to its large population.
