TYPOLOGY OF MODERN WASTE INCINERATORS (MSW)
Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №3 (63) September, 2018
A brief analysis of the history of waste incinerators and their typology are presented. A new type of waste incineration facility is defined. Over time, the disposal function of waste incinerators gave place to recycling and energy production while their public functions stood side by side with the utilitarian ones. New terms emerged in western practice which define more specifically types of manufacture and their constituents, which still have not been adopted by the domestic professional community. Planning and architectural criteria of each type have been identified and supported by technological rationale and by examples from the international experience.
