The article describes curricular student placements with OOO “Neva Taft” company. Based on the works of Textile Art students, the authors demonstrate the potentialities of contemporary carpet design and the nature of various creative interpretations of floral, geometric and abstract ornaments. One of the main conclusions is that contemporary theoretical and practical training methods enable competitive professionals to be produced for the domestic industry.
