THE IMAGERY OF THE CHURCH IN TOKMAKOV LANE BY THE ARCHITECT I. E. BONDARENKO

The Church of the Resurrection and the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Tokmakov Lane constructed in 1908 became Moscow's first cathedral which used comprehensively Art Nouveau architecture features with references to the images of Old Russian architecture, in both stone and wood. It was a kind of stylistic manifesto of the Old Belief in the early 20th century. Emulations of this work by I. E. Bondarenko characterize the extent of influence exerted by this master on other architects.
