A TYPOLOGY OF SPATIAL PLANNING SOLUTIONS HOUSING FOR COMPLICATED TERRAINS

The author proposes a typology of spatial planning solutions for residential buildings depending on their arrangement on complicated sloping terrains. The typology includes eight types of housing in accordance with specific natural contours of the building site. This typology seeks to make a contribution to optimisation of architectural residential design for difficult terrains, develop a database of projects suitable for such complex problems, and provide recommendations concerning the gathering of initial data for the site to be developed. The article is intended for architects and builders.
