A SYSTEM OF CLASSIFICATION OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES AS A FACTOR FOR IDENTYFING OBJECTS OF SCIENCE TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE

Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №4 (68) December, 2019

The article considers the importance of science tourism infrastructure objects at archeological sites as integral elements contributing to the development of archaeological tourism and preservation of historical and cultural heritage. Features that make a site an object of attraction for tourists are identified. Relationships between an archaeological site’s individual characteristics and its popularity with various social groups are revealed. These are used for drawing up a system of classification of archaeological heritage objects by a number of key parameters. The relationship between various characteristics of a site and parameters of local archeology centers is analyzed. The degree to which the properties of the object influence the basic functional, architectural and planning parameters of the subject is determined. The analysis has enabled recommendations to be suggested for developing theoretical models of science tourism infrastructure objects at archeological sites.
