PRINCIPLES OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND PLANNING OF MODERN SCHOOLS IN FINLAND

The article discusses how to increase the efficiency of a school building through its architectural and planning arrangement. Successful examples of using school building architecture to improve the quality of education are drawn from the school building practice in Finland. The study seeks to identify architectural and planning principles underlying school design and planning in Finland, reviews the development of the Finnish educational principles and the impact of educational activities on school design. The analysis of architectural Finnish school design projects has suggested principles of school building architectural design and planning. Prospects for their use by Russian designers are estimated.
