A PLANNING APPROACH TO ANALYSIS OF THE EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL GREEN FRAMEWORKS OF THE NORTHERN DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF KHABAROVSK

The term "green framework" is considered with reference to the ecological, geological, architectural, economic and other aspects based on available research. Examples of key landscaping objects and general landscaping indicators are given for the city of Khabarovsk. The characteristics of the Northern residential district and adjacent areas are outlined. Based on a review of the city planning maps, existing and prospective elements of the green framework (including specially protected areas) are identified and further analyzed to establish comparative characteristics and links with the district. Conclusions are drawn concerning the problems and potential of the areas under consideration.
