The «Stalin’s model» as a concept for the formation of high-rise buildings in the context of modern Novosibirsk

Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №2 (86) June, 2024

Major regional centers of Russia, including Novosibirsk, have now reached the stage of high-rise construction. The formation of high-rise dominants requires an integrated approach, taking into account urban planning and architectural and artistic aspects. To solve this task, it is necessary to identify a model for the formation of high-rise buildings, referring, among other things, to historical experience. A well-known example of an integrated approach to high-rise construction is the «Stalin’s skyscrapers» in Moscow. Studying the experience of the 1950s and adapting it to modern conditions may be of interest to modern architectural practice.

MODERN ARCHITECTURAL AND STYLISTIC TECHNIQUES IN THE DESIGN OF MEDIA CENTERS ABROAD

Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №2 (78) June, 2022

The information field is an environment in which there is interchange happening between a person and communication resources. For its functioning, media objects are formed in the urban structure, which evolved from monofunctional objects to multifunctional complexes, or media centers. The emergence of media centers in the last quarter of the 20th century provoked a rethinking of the techniques and approaches to their design. The outer shell of the media center building has become a means of transmitting information messages to an outside observer.
This paper identifies and discusses current architectural and stylistic techniques employed in the development of media centers with an emphasis on ways how information messages are broadcast to users through the outer visual shell of the building.

A CONCEPT OF ARCHITECTURE AND ARTIFICIAL ACOUSTIC ENVIRONMENT FOR THE THEATER AUDITORIUM OF "BLACK BOX" TYPE

Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №4 (76) December, 2021

The article considers issues in architectural acoustic design of the theater auditorium of "Black Box" type. A transdisciplinary concept of auditorium architecture is proposed. The problem of improving speech intelligibility in the theater auditorium of "Black Box" type is addressed using the architecture and electro-acoustic immersive system based on active sound field control technologies (AFC).
