The article reviews the network of sports facilities in a city and considers its structure. Zones for siting sports facilities are identified depending on conditions surrounding their formation. Comparative analysis of various models of service provision to the public is presented. The author proposes a model of service provision to the public by a network of sports facilities and outlines the dependence of the functioning of a network of sports facilities on the overlapping of areas of service provision is established. The advantages of the novel model of service provision are identified. The proposed procedure may be successfully used for planning and re-planning an existing network of sports facilities in a city fabric.
