Towers of the Chechen Republic: stages of development and problems of restoration

The article examines the development of tower architecture in the Chechen Republic, the characteristic patterns and features of the towers, and some architectural elements. The key issues in the restoration of this architecture are highlighted considering the theoretical basis and technical condition of the towers at the present stage. The findings suggested approaches to restoration work and solutions to the complex architectural problem at the regional level. The merit of this research work is that it focuses on the tower construction chronology that determines the complexity of restoration work. The approach proposed contributes to the development of architecture theory and history by adding technical information useful not only in relation to the towers of the Chechen Republic, but also tower architecture in general. It is of practical importance to draw the attention of the professional community to the key issues of tower restoration and the intensification of restoration work based on consistency.
