Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №2 (94) June, 2026

The article is devoted to the sketching of mosaic panels made of natural stone for the St. Petersburg metro station «Gorny Institut» opened in December 2024. The preparatory sketches and their thematic diversity are considered, which makes it possible to see the path taken by the artist A.I. Denderina from concept to completion, and to identify the roles of the artist and architect in creating the station's architectural and artistic image. The materials introduced by this study into scientific circulation supplement the history of the St. Petersburg metro stations. All sketches, appearing in this article as photographs, were created by A.I. Denderina alone

A.S.GETSKIN, AN ARCHITECT OF «LENMETROGIPROTRANS». MATERIALS FOR THE CREATIVE BIOGRAPHY

Architecton: Proceedings of Higher Education №3 (47) September, 2014

The article is one of the first attempts to summarize the creative heritage of the architect A.S.Getskin. For many years he was a member of staff of the architectural department at «Lenmetroproekt» and participated, both as author or team leader, in the design of various metro facilities. Ground vestibules erected during the period from 1956 to 1985 enable us to trace the stylistic evolution of these structures. This is important because they have had an impact on metro station design in St. Petersburg.
